Video game hype is a huge part of the industry and it can help shift even the most mediocre of games, but sometimes the old hype train can spin out of control. With magazine coverage, game demos, trailers, and gaming conventions, it can be hard to not get invested in the latest games to hit the shelves.   1. No Man’s Sky certainly didn’t live up to the hype, but to their credit the developer is still improving it. That’s better than Mighty No 9 who pocketed a ton of Kickstarter cash on something that is inferior to Gunvolt.
